Unit 1 · Introduction to Value Education 3 hrs
The concept, definition and need for value education; the content and process of value education; and the application of human values in everyday personal, social and professional life.
Unit 2 · Self-Exploration and Human Aspirations 3 hrs
Self-exploration as the means of value education; the development of a positive attitude and self-confidence; and a right understanding of happiness and prosperity.
Unit 3 · Harmony in the Human Being 3 hrs
The human being as more than the physical body; harmony between the Self ('I') and the Body; and understanding the co-existence of the Self and the Body.
Unit 4 · Harmony in the Individual and Society 3 hrs
Understanding the needs of the Self and of the Body and their respective activities; the family as the basic unit of human interaction and the role of values in relationships; and the foundations of respect in relationships — affection, kindness, guidance, reverence, glory, gratitude and love.
Unit 5 · Harmony in Society and Nature 3 hrs
The comprehensive human goal and the five dimensions of human endeavour; harmony in nature and the four orders in nature; and a holistic perception of harmony in existence.
